Education Centre Facilities

Derwent Hill Education Centre is an excellent base for residential programmes for schools, youth groups and clubs.

Accommodation
The dormitories have been upgraded during the winter of 2012 - 13 and most now have en-suite bathrooms.  Two dormitories have private bathroom facilities next to the room. The largest dormitory sleeps 8 in bunk beds, whilst the smallest room sleeps 2 in one set of bunk beds. All bedding is provided. 

9 staff beds are available in ensuite rooms (3 single, 3 twin) near the student dormitories.
 

Accessible accommodation is available in the Lakes Wing with ramp access, a lift and a bathroom equipped with a hoist and adjustable height washing table.

Facilities 
There are three dining rooms.  Students have a choice of meals, colected from the servery, and are expected to clear away at the end of the meal.
Three recreation rooms are available. 
Facilities include TV / DVD, pool table,  table football & indoor games, large screen and data projector.

There are two heated cloakrooms and two efficient drying rooms for students and a staff drying room.
 

Catering
We offer plentiful healthy home-cooked food and are able to accommodate specific dietary requirements.
