Camp Site

The campsite is situated within the Derwent Hill grounds approximately 250 meters from the main house with beautiful views to the surrounding mountains.

Facilities
The camp site can accommodate a maximum of 20 people.  There are toilet and shower facilities, which are heated and suitable for wheelchair users.  The camp site can be booked for exclusive use, a minimum charge for 6 applies.

The caravan can accommodate up to 6 people in a double, twin and lounge area with twin berths.   There is a fully functional bathroom and a coin operated electricity meter.  The caravan can be booked independently from the camp site.  For a full itinerary of what is provided please refer to the user guidance below.

There is no vehicular access to the site but parking is available.  The campsite is a few minutes walk from the car park and there is no lighting on the route.

Priority is given to groups from schools, colleges, youth organisations etc.   Private groups and individuals are welcome to book 3 months in advance for school holidays.  During term time private bookings can only be made at short notice (4 weeks or less).

2013 Prices

School and Youth Groups 

£6.25 per person per night
(There is a minimum charge of £37.50 for exclusive use). 

Caravan supplement £16.00 per night. 

Private groups and individuals

Camping rate: £7.50 per person per night. 
Caravan rate: £53.50 per night (maximum 6 people). 

Prices include VAT.
