Hydram Engineering Ltd. is a leading supplier of precision sheet metal components, assemblies and sheet metal fabrications in the UK. They are a positive and forward thinking company and believe in staff development as an integral part of business success.
Derwent Hill was chosen to create a teambuilding course for Hydram Ltd, not only because our setting in the English Lake District National Park is inspirational, but also because of the calibre of staff and our approach to training.
The course was designed using a collaborative, interactive process, investigating and clarifying the clients requirements, priorities and objectives and ensuring that specific needs were fully met.
The course was then delivered by our trainers who are multi skilled and first class facilitators, educators and instructors capable of delivering theoretical, technical and practical aspects of training.
The course at Derwent Hill presented the Hydram Team with the opportunity to develop some key areas of their business:
- the introduction of new staff to the established staff team (this was the first week of work for one of their graduates!)
- reflection on current working practices with a view to developing improvement opportunities
- the introduction of key concepts within the topics of effective team working and advanced communication skills
The course utilised a combination of classroom based theory sessions, experiential indoor and outdoor challenges and plenary reviews to establish key learning points and future developmental plans.
Each delegate went away with a personal action plan for the future.
The feedback from the course was very positive and all of the delegates relished the opportunity of undertaking leadership, team and problem solving challenges in and around the beautiful setting of Derwent Hill and the Lake District National Park.
